Apsara Studio & von Goetz
Exhibition: Enosis on view from 12th March - 27th April.
Enosis at von Goetz and Apsara Studio
von Goetz and Apsara Studio present Enosis, a group exhibition featuring works by Johanna Bath, Gareth Cadwallader, Danielle Fretwell, Marta Ravasi, Felipe Suzuki, and Yijia Wu. Curated by Lucy von Goetz & Jenn Ellis.
Taking its name from the Greek word for union, Enosis explores shared rituals, moments of gathering, and the symbolism of objects in collective experience. Drawing from traditions of commensality—the act of eating together—the exhibition reflects on the role of tables, fruit, and light in forming connections and preserving memory.
Bringing together diverse approaches in contemporary painting and sculpture, the exhibition offers a space for contemplation, where personal and collective histories intertwine. The works evoke a sense of timelessness, suspending fleeting moments in stillness and intimacy.
Each artist contributes a unique perspective on these themes: from the abstraction of memory and sensory experience to the symbolic weight of everyday objects. Enosis creates a dialogue between the material and the ephemeral, centralizing subjective experience while inviting viewers into a shared space of reflection.
On view at von Goetz and Apsara Studio, 200 Battersea Park Road.
