Which art exhibition/event/artist are you looking forward to the most post lockdown?
I can’t wait to visit the British Surrealism show at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, featuring Henry Moore and Francis Bacon, amongst others. I hope they will extend the show when they reopen in the summer as it looks intriguing. My guilty pleasure will be to see Bags at the Victoria and Albert Museum, alongside the Alice in Wonderland themed show featuring Salvador Dali and Dorothea Tanning - they have both been postponed to a later date in the year.

What has been your favourite online experience thus far?
AWITA zoom meetings are the best! Your diverse program is now a highlight of my maternity leave. Since my first virtual Coffee Morning, I felt welcomed in an honest space sharing experiences and best practices amongst women. The variety and choice of topics each week is brilliant, you really speak to a wide audience and know how to captivate it.

I am also enjoying a variety of podcasts: ‘The Secrets of Wealthy Women’ curated by the Wall Street Journal - ‘How I built this’ is all about entrepreneurship and resilience - ‘ArtTactic’ is great for updates in the art market.

Are there any inspiring quotes that have resonated with you at this time?

“Develop a particular kind of peculiarity, otherwise nobody will think of you as the obvious choice for anything”

Penny Martin - Editor in chief of the Gentlewoman -
quote from ‘The Working Woman Handbook“.

I have been reading about working mothers and particularly about those in the art world. I have asked myself how to progress my career considering ‘my new normal’ and the constant challenges we are facing. A lot needs to change in the way we do business in the art world in order to survive and ultimately thrive. Reinvention and flexibility are key to this process of change.
