“During a complex year, the art world remains a challenging place to navigate. With job losses, market shifts and a changeable environment, career support can be hard to find”, says Cat Manson and Caroline Sayan, Founders, Art Market Mentors. “We are pleased to open our program once again to provide supportive professional development; better, realistic entry-level information, while aiming to widen general access. Attracting and retaining talent is vital to invigorate the art world and keep it relevant.”
Application Process
To apply to be a MENTEE: please contact artmarketmentors@gmail.com putting MENTEE in the subject line with a CV and short summary of goals. Need over THREE years into a career, and undergoing a specific change, including redundancy, facing a career challenge or wishing to progress in a specific situation or role.* They aim to have partnerships allocated and group mentoring sessions scheduled by end February.
To volunteer as a MENTOR: please contact artmarketmentors@gmail.com putting MENTOR in the subject line with a summary of your career or share your LinkedIn. If you can spare three hours over three months; we will provide a framework and introduction if we match you to a suitable mentee. They may not utilize all mentors, but your details will be kept on file for bespoke requests or group mentoring sessions.

About Art Market Mentors
The organization was founded by Cat Manson and Caroline Sayan in 2020 with a mission to welcome and support talent in the commercial art world. Its goals include sharing career path information, broadening access to opportunities, and providing support through mentoring. To date, the initiative has successfully matched over 300 individuals with mentors and engaged with over 8,000 people digitally through talks, social media, and events. In 2025, Cathy Elkies, Non-Executive Director of SML Ltd, joined the team.
