Speakers include: Francesca Gavin (Artistic Director of the viennacontemporary fair), Pernilla Holmes (Director of art advisory and cultural strategy firm Wedel Art), Eleonore Ogrinz (Collector, Board member of the viennacontemporary art fair and PwC Marketing&Media Leader EMEA), and Laura Amann, (Curator at Kunsthalle Wien).

Speakers:

Francesca Gavin is the Artistic Director of the viennacontemporary fair, which takes place this September, and Editor in Chief of EPOCH Review. Gavin has written ten books on art and visual culture and curated exhibitions including Mushrooms at Somerset House, The Dark Cube at Palais de Tokyo, and co-curated Manifesta11. She is a contributing editor at Twin and Beauty Papers, and regularly writes for publications including the Financial Times HTSI, Cura, Marie Claire and Frieze. Her monthly radio show Rough Version on NTS Radio on art and music has been running for over 8 years.

Pernilla Holmes, before becoming Director at Wedel Art, is a trained art historian and advisor to top private collections and has worked closely with artists at leading galleries. Pernilla has curated numerous solo and group exhibitions of both emerging and established artists at key points in their careers. She has an MA from the Courtauld Institute and has written extensively on art in catalogues for such publications as the Financial Times, Newsweek, World of Interiors and ARTnews, as well as giving lectures at museums and colleges. Pernilla joined Wedel Art Advisory as director in 2010 and is passionate about bringing clients and artists together to develop larger projects. In this role, Pernilla also works on cultural strategies for large corporations and major international property and city developments.

Eleonore Ogrinz is a Senior Marketing Executive and works for PwC as Marketing & Media Leader for EMEA. She spent 10 years as Global Head of Advertising at Red Bull. Before that, she was 17 years at Procter&Gamble (P&G) where she held various Marketing positions locally and regionally. She was P&G Media Director for Western Europe before she moved on to Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) as Global Media Director. Eleonore held various executive committee and board positions in advertising industry associations and councils, as well as non-executive Board positions in the health and tech industry. She is following and collecting art for many years, is a member of the Austrian philanthropy art fund “Phileas”,  and has supported viennacontemporary as a board member since 2023.

Laura Amann is a curatorial assistant at Kunsthalle Wien and architect. A graduate of the De Appel Curatorial Programme Amsterdam and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Amann co-curated Significant Other, a project space and curatorial platform exploring the intersections of art and architecture, and taught at the Vienna University of Technology. Her projects address universal themes such as pleasure, intimacy, desire, and sensuality and explores how these create spaces for disobedience as well as madness and insanity as forms of knowledge.
