Jess Straub is the Development & Sponsorship Manager at Nottingham Playhouse. Originally from New York, Jess moved to the UK to study classical double bass at the Royal Academy of Music in 2016. Interested in pivoting away from performance and into fundraising, she completed a Master’s in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths. 

Since then, Jess has built a diverse and successful career in development and fundraising, working with organisations such as the London Handel Festival and the Orange Tree Theatre. She now leads Nottingham Playhouse’s development efforts, driving sponsorship initiatives and securing vital funding to support the Playhouse’s ambitious artistic programme.
