A community of women and non-binary art professionals
AWITA was founded to champion female ambition and leadership across the visual arts. We’re a growing international community that believes convening and sharing knowledge can build a more equitable art world.
Members span the professional art world: gallerists, curators, art lawyers, advisors, writers, and auction house experts.
For women and non-binary individuals with 5+ years in the arts. Membership starts at £250/year + VAT.
Our Forecast series captures the cultural temperature of locations ahead of major art events through real-time insights from gallerists, curators, and collectors on the ground. Inspired by the Keynesian “animal spirits,” these conversations reveal how emotional factors like confidence shape the art landscape.

Is Mumbai booming in the age of bust?
Ahead of the city’s major art fair Art Mumbai, we’ll discuss the characteristics of this economic and infrastructural efflorescence - and ask: if the market is expanding, then who are all the new collectors?
Join us to hear from industry experts as they share insights into Mumbai's art landscape. The session will be moderated by Dr Cleo Roberts-Komireddi, writer for the Financial Times, The Guardian, and The Telegraph, as well as an academic advisor and consultant editor. Cleo is also currently writing a book on Indian art for Yale University Press.
